Hello Kal Lake Swimmers:
If you've ever listened to Ravel's Bolero you will understand exactly how our swim to the Point went last evening. The wind had picked up from the northeast by mid-afternoon and helped clear away the smoke. However, it had also churned up the lake so that the calm water near the beach gradually got rougher and rougher until it reached a crescendo by the Point. Our passage to the point took about as much time as the composition.
Too bad that it was only Darin and I to enjoy it . The water was a refreshing 22.5 degrees, perfect for naked swimming on a hot afternoon.
Hopefully the smoke will stay away and the sunny weather will entice several more of you to come out at 8:00 on Sunday morning.
