The outlook wasn't brilliant for the Kal Lake Swimmers today;

With a stiff, cold breeze, and clouds sullen and gray;

With Kylie and Robynne in Kamloops,

The whereabouts of Cindy, Sean and Phred remaining unknown;

There was just a single swimmer, waiting alone.

Into the chop, wetsuit half undone;

Checked the thermometer, not yet sixty-one.

Not much sun, cool water on my arm,

At least the nether parts were still quite warm.

The swim was quite pleasant in spite of the chop;

Much bigger at the Point, that's where I stop;

Waves behind me on the return;

Surfing now, enjoying the churn.

Back home, all sound and safe;

But new parts now showing some chafe.

I'll do this again, Sunday next week;

Better conditions and some colleagues I'll seek!

Cheers,

Mike
