Hello Kal Lake Swimmers:

Another glorious Sunday morning drew seventeen of us out to frolic in the 22 degree water today. Half wore wetsuits while the rest were naked. Kylie and Robynne were so excited they hit the water before the sun came up and then took Kara with them out to Cosens Beach. They were still going when the rest of us finished our much shorter swims. Half still went out to Gary's Log while the rest stopped earlier, some at the Point but most well into Cosens Bay where the water was calmer than on the Juniper side of the peninsula. With the sun well up, the unfortunate wetsuit bearers were deprived of the pleasure of having the warm sun on their backs. This was followed by the extra chore of dragging their heavy waterlogged wetsuits back up the trail to the parking lot.

With the holiday tomorrow, we will swim again at 8:00. Those swimmers feeling deprived will have another opportunity to check out naked swimming in the very comfortable water.

The warm weather predicted for the next two weeks should leave us with a decent water temperature for our Night Swim scheduled for Saturday, September 20. Details to come. Many of us do the night swim every year. I hope that we get several of you trying it for the first time this year. Mark it on your calendars!

Cheers,

Mike
