Sunshine Lollygagging and Rubber

Hello Kal Lake Swimmers:

This morning's swim brought to mind an old Lesley Gore song:

There was lots of sunshine, most wore rubber, and there was lots of lollygagging. We had fourteen of us leave Juniper Beach at 8:00, chasing after Venke and Richard who had started fifteen minutes earlier. Ten of the sixteen of us wore rubber in spite of the 21 degree water. While a few turned back at the Point, most carried on to the Painted Rocks. Nobody talked about Gary's Log. Once at the Painted Rocks, John, Robynne, not so slow Gary, Kylie, Sarah, and Jocelyn saw that Venke and Richard had gone to Dog Beach and so had to follow. The trip back was slow and easy with some more lollygagging on the way, which was conveniently blamed on the very mild chop in Juniper Bay.

It was a great way to start a Sunday!

I look forward to seeing a good group seeking respite from the heat on Tuesday at 5:30pm.

Cheers,
Mike
