Hello Kal Lake Swimmers:

Under gray skies, with 24 degree air and 23 degree water, seven of us prepared for a short swim last night.

While we were at the picnic table we noticed several ducks coming boldly toward us and we remarked as to how tame they were. When I mentioned that we didn't have any beer at our table, they abruptly turned tail and left!

Conditions were calm, and the water was plenty warm for the 57% of us who swam naked, not sure about the others in the wuss-suits.

Due to meetings, massages and other lame excuses, we all just swam to the Point. There we had a lively conversation, mostly about techniques for staying single. It's been said that "I am" is our language's shortest sentence while "I Do" is its longest! It became much more animated once Phred divulged that he really did have a non-contagious phungus phace. David appreciated the fact that our discussions were always so "cultured".

That was enough to send us all back to the Beach where we carried on with all of our purported important appointments.

We will do this again on Thursday at 5:30pm. Hopefully we'll have time to swim a bit farther and carry on with more stimulating chatter!

Cheers,

Mike
