Another glorious Sunday

Hello Kal Lake Swimmers:

Kal Park looked like a rubber factory this morning with eight of our 17 swimmers donning the wuss suits in spite of the 22 degree water. After an easy start out to the Point through rippled water we all met to discuss the next destination. I promised the skeptical group that the water would be calm on the Cosens Bay side so nine of us decided to swim out to Gary's log. Turned out that the water was like glass the whole way there and back to the Point. Really! I have witnesses!

There were actually 22 swimmers in the water as we crossed paths with Gary and four other phantom anti-social swimmers who had started earlier and were returning to Juniper Beach.

Once at Gary's log, Robynne, Kylie and Olivia decided that they were barely warmed up and opted to carry on to Cosen's Beach. Most of us appreciated being able to sit on the log to rest (except for the rubberized group who just floated and gloated). Robynne ALMOST convinced Darin to go along to Cosens Beach but he chickened out at the last moment. She's fine tuning her spiel for next time.

With the Holiday Monday, we are doing it all again tomorrow at 8:00 am. Look forward to seeing an even bigger group, so don't miss out!

Cheers,

Mike
