With Mike & Sean busy today and unable to swim with us, the write-up falls on my shoulders. I almost sent just this picture with no write-up. This morning was the best swim conditions we have had in a long time! 18 degree air temperature with no smoke and no wind. A tiny ripple on the water about half way through the swim with a few drops of rain but back to flat calm water and sunny skies by the time we finished. Those who missed today missed an epic swim--we wish you had joined us!
6 swimmers started early and we were told they were headed to Cousins Bay Beach. 15 others started at the "official" start time of 8:00 and swam various distances--I turned with 3 others at Rattlesnake Point, so I'm not sure who went to Painted Rocks and who went to the reborn Gary's Log. I don't want to embarrass John, so I won't use any names, but "someone" arrived an hour late thinking the swim started at 9:00 and brought our numbers up to 22 swimmers.
Hopefully we will have many more swims with conditions like this morning! Next swims are 5:30 Tuesday & Thursday evenings and 8:00 Sunday morning. See you then.
